GLOBALG.A.P. Certification

QIMA/WQS offers certification under the GFSI recognized GLOBALG.A.P. scheme, which covers food safety, environment, and workers health and safety.

GLOBALG.A.P. is a private organization which establishes voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural products worldwide. [[inline-image contentfulAssetId="4AKgS3q7gBOJrym4wkboPp" size="medium" align="right" /]]

The GLOBALG.A.P. standard was developed to assure producers, suppliers, and buyers that food production at the farm and facility level meets internationally-recognized best practices.

GLOBALG.A.P. works to support farmers by connecting them to markets where they can sell their safely and sustainably produced agricultural products by developing and implementing farm assurance systems that are based on facts and recognized across the supply chain.

GLOBALG.A.P. is responsible for over 200,000 certified producers, 2,000 trained inspectors and auditors, certifying more than 700 different agricultural products.

GLOBALG.A.P. Certifications Offered by QIMA/WQS Include:

GLOBALG.A.P. IFA – Fruits and Vegetables

The GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Standard covers all stages of production, from pre-harvest activities such as soil management and plant protection product application to post-harvest produce handling, packing and storing.

GLOBALG.A.P. IFA - Hops

Together with the Hop Growers of America, merchants, processors, and brewer customers around the world, GLOBALG.A.P. has developed a standard to specifically address the unique farm-level needs of hop growers.

The Hops sub-scope (HO) covers propagation material, soil management, pre-harvest evaluation, harvesting, and post-harvest activities.

Producers supplying hop cones solely for beer brewing must comply with the requirements as set out in the All Farm Base (AF) module, the Crops Base (CB) module, and the Hops (HO) module.

In cases where producers also supply the market with fresh hop shoots, they must additionally comply with the Fruit & Vegetables (FV) module.

GLOBALG.A.P. PHA (Produce Handling Assurance)

The new GLOBALG.A.P. Produce Handling Assurance (PHA) Standard covers pre-process production steps after the point of harvest for crops including cooling, packing, re-packing, handling, and storage of produce for human consumption. The PHA Standard may not be used to certify products significantly transformed from the original whole state or foods that are processed.

GLOBALG.A.P. HPSS (Harmonized Produce Safety Standard)

The GLOBALG.A.P. Harmonized Produce Safety Standard (HPSS) is a robust food safety standard that includes verbatim the Produce GAP Harmonization Initiative’s Harmonized Standards. Facilitated by the United Fresh Produce Association, the Initiative’s Technical Committee has aligned its Harmonized Standards to the FSMA Produce Safety Rule.

GLOBALG.A.P. PSA (Produce Safety Assurance)

Designed for regions where producers and their customers require only a food safety solution, the new Produce Safety Assurance Standard V5. is based on the GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Standard and consists of only the food safety elements.

The GLOBALG.A.P. Produce Safety Assurance Standard covers the certification of food safety elements throughout a product’s entire agricultural production process, from before the plant is in the ground (origin and propagation material control points) to the packaging.

GLOBALG.A.P. + Add-on

In response to growing concerns regarding specific aspects of the agricultural production process and supply chain, GLOBALG.A.P. has developed add-on modules that enhance your GLOBALG.A.P. Certification.

GRASP

Itstands for GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice, and is a voluntary ready-to-use module developed to assess social practices on the farm, addressing specific aspects of workers’ health, safety and welfare.

FSMA PSR

To support implementation efforts of the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) at the producer level, GLOBALG.A.P. offers its FSMA Produce Safety Rule Add-on to address control points found in the FSMA Produce Safety Rule (FSMA PSR).

Tesco NURTURE

The NURTURE Module focuses on Plant Protection Product List (PPPL) management for primary suppliers of Tesco.

AH-DLL GROW

The AH-DLL GROW assessment is required for both individual producers and producer groups that supply fruit and vegetable products either directly or via their suppliers to Albert Heijn in the Netherlands or Delhaize in Belgium.
