Guided Inspections

Our Guided Inspections help ensure the quality of your products when you don't want to, or simply can't, send an inspector in-person to your supplier's site.

What is a Guided Inspection?

QIMA Guided Inspections combine our leading inspection expertise and experience with the benefits of technology to ensure the quality of your products remotely – anytime, anywhere.

Utilizing QIMA's livestreaming technology, a specialist QIMA supervisor experienced in managing inspectors will guide factory staff remotely through the steps of a product inspection, and collect evidence of key findings on the product's quality.

Product inspections, whether they are remote or on-site, are a key element of quality control and will help to prevent quality problems and supply chain disruptions once products are on the shelves.

A QIMA Guided Inspection can be conducted at the following stages of the manufacturing process:

How a Guided Inspection is Typically Carried Out

The booking, inspection checklist and overall process for a Guided Inspection is the same as with a QIMA Onsite Inspection.

In a Guided Inspection, a team of two factory staff perform tests, carefully following the step-by-step instructions provided by a QIMA supervisor who will remotely monitor the inspection via a livestream. During the inspection, the QIMA supervisor will digitally capture images of the product.

Once the inspection is complete, the QIMA supervisor carefully checks the captured pictures against the product specifications and a detailed report is delivered by QIMA within the same day, with real-time analytics available in your QIMA dashboard.

Guided Inspections vs Onsite Inspections

QIMA's Guided Inspections are not an alternative to full onsite inspections. It's a process meant to provide an additional safety layer to factory self-inspections and focus on specification checks and tests. Although Guided Inspections can't offer the same accuracy level and checking depth as a traditional onsite inspection, QIMA Guided Inspections have been designed to guide factory inspectors and ensure that findings are un-biased.

If you're looking for full peace of mind, you may want to opt for a standard onsite inspection.
