Ready-to-wear Spectacles

QIMA provides a wide range of laboratory testings for ready-to-wear spectacles according to International Standards

Eyewear Expertise – QC for Ready-Made Readers

Ready-made reading glasses are usually available in strengths ranging from +1.00 to +3.50 dioptres. Even though they are readily sold in retail outlets without prescription or special consultation, ready-made readers are classified as a medical device, according to European Regulation (EU) 2017/745. As such, brands and retailers must pay as much attention to their quality as specialized opticians do to frames and lenses made for custom prescription eyewear.

QIMA provides extensive testing for ready-made reading glasses, covering all aspects of quality, safety, and compliance of the finished product and all its elements. Our eyewear laboratory is accredited to test your products against your in-house specifications, international standards, and the regulations of your destination market.

Dedicated Eyewear Testing Labs

Our laboratory is an accredited laboratory under ISO/IEC 17025 standard. We offer a wide variety of testing services for eyewear products and help you ensure that your reading glasses meet the requirements of such international standards as:

  • International: ISO 16034

  • Europe: EN 14139

  • USA: ANSI Z80.31

  • China: GB 10810.1, GB/T 13511

  • Australia / New Zealand: AS/NZS ISO 16034
